She/Her

Sleeping under stars, dancing with her ghost it's her only endeavour

She prays silently to exist in that moment for forever

Forever is an intricate word sometimes its eternity sometimes its mere second.

Awoken by whistle of chilling wind she sighs cause it was the best dream she had ever reckon

Fed up by the blank ceiling hovering above her.

She squeezed her eyes tight the reality still seems blur.

Had I been any different I’d be walking freely

Stead, she is trapped in four walls mercilessly.

The honesty of the reality seems surreal

But the aftermath of it made her life peril.

The need of her to live more than survive is vivid.

But the bruises she felt inside were still livid.

Haunted by her own cries and scream.

She is still trying to find the quiet and to redeem.

The solitary battle she has been fighting, no one will ever deem.

cause the illusion the man hold of control is beginning to be real as it seems.

Let’s not try to normalise rape

cause She could be you

She could be me

or just maybe and maybe she could be free!

Most of them responded eagerly with their own elusive imaginations. Someone said it was blue as the horizon of never-ending ocean or the peaceful green or even bubbly yellow and sometimes its as deep as black. As abstract as it sound I realized the gist behind it was slowly unfolding and it was strongly lucid. One might say the colour of their thoughts are the traits of their characters other might gush it as the mixture of emotions. However, does the one colour differ according to the others? Can I be green and red at the same time? As Heraclitus asserts “the soul is dyed the colour of its thoughts.   The hue of mill...
